Mentor Project 1999
Announcement Night
Inaugural event held at the Algonquin, introducing the first five emerging playwrights:
Peter Buchman, Heather Hill, Lizzie Olesker, Christopher Shinn, Bridgette Wimberly. Each finalist read a 10 minute selection from their winning work.
This seasons mentors were: Charles Fuller, A.R. Gurney, Tony Kushner, Wendy Wasserstein, Michael Weller, and Edward Albee served as the general mentor.
