Re: Her Mentorship with Theresa Rebeck

I never thought my play girl. would get produced because of its subject matter and monologue structure but the Cherry Lane took a chance on it regardless, which I am endlessly thankful for.  In a time when a lot of theaters seem tentative to take chances on unproduced, young playwrights the Cherry Lane Mentor Project is important because it gives those of us in that boat an opportunity to exit the land of readings and see our plays fully realized while also providing a network of professionals to guide us so we don’t feel at sea.
